Crisis? What Crisis? The Prospects for the UK Financial Sector at London Business School.
30 Nov 2009
Michel Prada, Non-Executive Director at the ICFR, spoke at this event.
London, UK
London has developed to be the pre-eminent global financial centre but now it faces a number of serious challenges: the credit crunch has led to a sharp fall in financial activity, the subsequent reduction in global capital flows, the elimination of a number of players and a restructuring of the landscape.
A distinguished Panel including Mr Michel Prada (International Centre for Financial Regulation), Professor Richard Portes (London Business School), Dr Gillian Tett (Financial Times), Dr Thomas Huertas (FSA) and Professor Niall Ferguson (Harvard University) considered the likely impact of these changes to London and how the financial services will adapt to them.
