Sovereign Debt Crisis, Hosted by UCL
21 Mar 2011
London, UK
Overview
As we enter the year with signs of recovery, the ‘Sovereign Debt Crisis’ is perceived as a major threat for the world economy. Operating under the same roof, a common solution to satisfy 17 different economies has become one of the biggest challenges to overcome. Will it be that case where the world economy will take this challenge and turn it into an opportunity? Or will we see another moment when the problem spirals out of control as Greek and Irish CDS approach 1040 and 592 respectfully? Will the recent surge in energy prices further exasperate global imbalances?
To discuss the implications, UCL hosted a panel debate titled "The Sovereign Debt Crisis" at 6pm, organised by the UCL Financial Industry Series (UCL FIndS).
