CBB Consults on Draft Regulation on Offering of Financial Services in Bahrain

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has launched a consultation on a draft regulation regarding the offering of financial services in Bahrain. The consultation proposes a prohibition on persons marketing, promoting or offering financial services in Bahrain unless such activities: (1) are permitted under the terms of a person's CBB licence; (2) fall within an exemption granted by the CBB by way of further Directive; or (3) are permitted by way of express written consent of the CBB.
