EC Consultation: Market Abuse Directive

The European Commission (EC) has launched a consultation paper aimed at reviewing the Market Abuse Directive (MAD). The paper aims to review the directive in light of the following areas: filling in remaining gaps, strengthening enforcement, increasing cost-effectiveness and continuing to improve elements of transparency, supervisory oversight and integrity of derivatives markets. The deadline for response is the 26 July 2010.
