Interim Report Consultation on Reform Options
04 Jun 2011
The Interim Report by the UK’s Independent Commission on Banking has now been published. In general it steers away from the most radical proposals and focuses on fostering domestic competition in retail financial services. Measures to ring fence key business areas and to provide clear mechanism to resolve failing institutions are also key elements of the Report. The recommendations will now be subject to months of debate and consultation before the final report in September.
Deadline: 4 July 2011
