Malcolm D. Knight Joins ICFR's International Advisory Council

London 22nd September - The International Centre for Financial Regulation (ICFR) today announced the appointment of Dr. Malcolm D. Knight to its International Advisory Council (IAC). Dr. Knight will join the six initial members of the council selected in June 2010 to provide strategic advice to the Board and use their areas of expertise to inform the work of the ICFR.

17th June, London - The International Centre for Financial Regulation (ICFR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 14 June with the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). The MOU establishes co-operation between the institutions to develop specialized training and targeted research around regulation, in an effort to secure efficient and sustainable development of capital markets in the UAE.

The establishment of a new International Centre for Financial Regulation (ICFR), to be led by Barbara Ridpath as CEO, was announced today by Economic Secretary and City Minister Kitty Usher and Interim ICFR Chairman, Mervyn Davies. The ICFR is an industry-led project independent of the UK Government and will be officially launched at the end of the year and aims to become an international centre of excellence focused entirely on financial regulation.
