When was your company founded?
Founded in 1997, PRESENT VALUE offers powerful e-Learning tools to train staff in Financial Markets since 2003. Present Value is based in Frankfurt/Germany with an office in Singapore. The company represents a multi-lingual team of ten in-house experts, each of whom brings an extensive analytical background in Investment Banking. The combined experience includes marketing and structuring credit, equity and interest rate derivatives while working at leading European and US Investment banks.
What are your areas of expertise?
The financial markets e-learning library consists of over 145 Training Modules comprising 220+ hours of training. The Training modules cover key finance topics related to e.g. Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income, Risk Management, Structured Products. The multimedia content is split into several courses, each of which is supported by e-tutors, printouts, online exams and Excel/VBA toolboxes (which can be downloaded at no extra cost). The comprehensive training portfolio is enhanced in lock-step with new market developments and existing modules are updated regularly.

Present Value has offices in Europe and Asia. 80% of its client base is in Europe, 10% in Asia and the US, respectively.

Do you use recent technology to deliver some of your training courses?
The training modules are state of the art in eLearning using dynamic content created with Adobe Flash: Multimedia includes a combination of text, images, animation, formulas, and interactivity content forms. At no extra cost, the company provides unlimited access to pricing templates, VBA source codes, Excel spread sheets and historical time series. By moving from cell to cell, the student will better understand even math-driven or deeply analytical content.
Where do you think training is heading? How do you fit into this trend?
People need to understand the content in much more detail than before. As a result, 250+ Excel / VBA spreadsheets are additionally available for download at no extra cost. With this, users gain further insight into the theory and gain powerful tools for their daily work.
